The U.S. District Court will soon be converting to a web-based (paperless) electronic application to submit CJA Vouchers for attorneys and experts for payment processing under the Criminal Justice Act.  Please click here for more information and training.

Please take note that the United States Sentencing Guidelines are scheduled to change on Sunday, November 1, 2015 absent congressional action to the contrary.  Virtually no one anticipates congressional action to the contrary.  Consequently, the contents of the summary overview and the full-blown amendments the USSC published this past spring will become law in two weeks.  The below links you will find these publications, and can download them to your cellphone, tablet, or computer.

Director of the Bureau of Prisons advised the Senate on August 4, 2015,  "The Bureau has faced some of the significant challenges, most notably the decades of significant growth in the inmate population."  Director Samuels went on to say that "we have recently seen the federal prison population start to decrease for the first time in decades, it remains unsustainably high."  To read the full report, click here. ...
